I absolutely love doing first look photos! It makes that Wedding Day moment when you first see each other so private and special ... well except for the photographer clicking away! Allison and Kenny chose to do their "first looks" amongst the antique cars at Route 46. I love the excitement and emotion in these photos!

Belinda and Richard's Wedding at MetroWest Golf Club

You know the stories you hear about people meeting years later at their high school reunion and falling in love?  Well Belinda and Richard are those people!  He was living in Albuquerque and she was in Orlando.  They both went home for their reunion and sparks flew!  They started a long distance relationship and decided after a year that it was meant to be! 
I met up with Belinda this week at the Uptown Wine Bar in Baldwin Park to deliver her Wedding Album.  Here are a few of my favorites from the album.

Joanie Smith Photography receives WeddingWire 2011 Bride's Choice Award

Woohoo! I just found out that Joanie Smith Photography was selected to receive the 2011 Bride's Choice Award from WeddingWire. This makes two years in a row! I'd like to send a HUGE hug and a BIG thank-you to all my past couples who reviewed my services and nominated me for this award ... I'm thrilled!

Winter Park, Florida Engagement Shoot ~ Christine and Adam

Christine and Adam have chosen the Park Plaza restaurant for their February wedding, so it was only fitting that their engagement photos be in downtown Winter Park. I had a great time shooting Christine and Adam, they have such an easy, comfortable way with each other ... it's obvious that they were just "meant to be"!

Rachel and Perry's Wedding ~ Lake Mary Events Center

The Lake Mary Events Center was the gorgeous setting for Rachel and Perry's wedding. This couple was so adorable! The ceremony got off to an emotional start as Rachel and Perry both had to fight back the tears ... but the tears quickly turned to smiles as they were officially pronounced husband and wife.

My New Year's resolution for 2011 is to do a better job at keeping up with this Blog and hopefully to start a Facebook Page where I can post news and sneak peaks for my fantastic clients!
I'll be honest and admit that blogging is not my favorite thing. I get so wrapped up in the fun aspects of wedding photography (shooting and editing), that I totally neglect the blog. My plan is to catch up by blogging past weddings while keeping up with new ones. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
